Deposit
1) A deposit is requested as a guarantee for the rental, covering the full value of the equipment.
2) The deposit can be made of cash, certified checks, credit cards, and a valid i.d. must be exhibited.
GENERAL RENTAL CONDITIONS
The client upon signing our delivery note declares to accept all the following conditions:
The client will pick up the equipment at the EXIT srl deposit and will check that the quantity and quality of the goods correspond to the delivery note, the equipment will be picked up in working hours (Saturday closed) .
The client will assist at the equipment check upon return; all missing or damaged equipment will be billed at the current price list cost. If missing equipment is returned within 15 days from end of rental it will be reimbursed by EXIT srl. Any equipment returned with a messenger service will be accepted with a reserve as to the state and quantity of goods returned .
The client is responsible for the care of the equipment, cloth backgrounds, butterfly fabrics etc…; if returned dirty will be cleaned, and the cost will be billed to the client. All the equipment which is damaged in a way that EXIT srl will judge not any more usable also for aesthetical reasons will be billed at its full current price .
All chargeable batteries are delivered with a full charge on sufficient notice, but EXIT srl declines any responsability for loss of power due to travel, cold weather or long inactivity; the client must therefore check the batteries before use.
In case of equipment failure EXIT srl will provide for substitution with other equipment, reserving to bill the repair cost, and rental period if failure is due to mishandling or damages created by the client or its staff. The substitution of the equipment will be made by the client at the address of EXIT srl. EXIT will not accept any charge for transport or liabilities for delay in executing the shooting - in this case the client must provide with its own insurance .
The rental period is determined by the arithmetical difference between the day of delivery and the day of restitution of the equipment; the equipment can be picked up after 5 p.m. the day preceding the first rental day, and must be rendered within 10 a.m. the day following the last rental day. Any delay in rendering equipment will be billed at the full day rate.
The minimum rental period is one day. Any delays in rendering the equipment is considered a rental extension. The current rental prices will be billed .
The client must communicate the last rental day and eventual variations .
In case of sale of the rented equipment, the rental cost will be discounted by 50% .
All rentals confirmed and cancelled within 24 hours from the first rental day will be fully billed, clients that are not sure to use the equipment are required to put an option, reserving themselves the opportunity of cancelling the option even at the last minute and without any penalty. The client must give a phone number and be available within one hour if EXIT requests the equipment to be freed for another confirmed rental .
The rented equipment is exclusive property of EXIT srl and for this reason the client must keep custodyof the equipment for all the rental period, and declare the property in any case of court ruling .
The equipment rented by EXIT srl is updated to the last security European and Italian laws; the client must provide that all the security laws for electrical and mechanical purposes in the use of the equipment are applied, taking total responsibility for any damages to persons or things if these laws are not respected .
In case of a longer rental period than booked if EXIT has already had a confirmation for another client for the same equipment the client must interrupt and deliver back equipment at EXIT srl .
All equipment is insured with a primary insurance company, against damages and accidents, EXIT extends this guarantee to the client billing an extra 1.5% on the total rental cost; here joined you will find the essential points of the insurance policy .
Insured equipment
All equipment mentioned on our delivery note (in Italian: DDT); damages to lamps and bulbs will be recognised only for malfunctioning of equipment.
International coverage
This insurance is valid world wide; vandalism is recognised only in Central Europe.
Insurance covers:
- Loading and unloading at EXIT srl
- Transport from and to EXIT srl to shooting destination
- Loading and unloading at the shooting destination
- Use of equipment in the premises of the user or in other locations
